2-22-19 Second Suspect Arrested/Homicide - 150 River St.


UPDATE (7/27/17):

Chattanooga Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of Kathy Hardy. Tyree Tichion Corley is charged with Felony Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery. Corley is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

CPD appreciates the assistance we received from our law enforcement partners at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Hamilton County District Attorney's Office, Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.

SUSPECT:

Tyree T. Corley (male)

DOB: 7/21/95

Charges: Felony Murder (1st Degree Murder), Especially Aggravated Robbery

The victim has been identified as Kathy Hardy (female, 45). Next of kin has been notified.

July 16, 2017

Investigators have made contact with witnesses and persons who may be connected to the incident. These conversations have led investigators to conclude that there is no immediate threat to the public at this time. Again, investigators are asking that if you have any information concerning this incident that you call police immediately at 423-643-5100.

July 16, 2017

Early this morning at approx 12:35 a.m. Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot at 150 River St in Renaissance Park. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

Police received a report of a person shot somewhere along the riverfront downtownPolice, with assistance from the fire department, searched by land and water for an extended period of timeThe victim was located on a pier in Renaissance ParkThe victim had succumbed to her injuriesIf you were in the Coolidge / Renaissance park area and heard or witnessed anything suspicious, please call investigators using the Homicide Tip Line 423-643-5100Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating the incident

The victim's name will be withheld until next of kin are notified
