2-27-19 Officers travel to pay respects to fallen officer & family

Officers will depart from the Police Service Center at 3410 Amnicola Highway at 8:00 a.m. They will attend the visitation upon arrival in Cincinnati and the funeral and burial for CPD Ofc. Nicholas Galinger on Friday. Chief David Roddy will speak at the funeral per the request of Ofc. Galinger's parents. Officers will return to Chattanooga after the services on Friday. Approximately 40 CPD Officers will make the trip to Cincinnati including 21 members of Ofc. Galinger’s cadet class.

Arrangements for CPD Ofc. Nicholas Galinger are as follows:

• Visitation noon to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 at TP White & Sons Funeral Home located at 2050 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, OH.
• Funeral at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Mar. 1, 2019 at Mount Washington Presbyterian Church located at 6474 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, OH.
• Burial to follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery - Union Township located at 686 Mt. Moriah Dr., Cincinnati, OH.

Media planning to cover the officers’ departure can park in the front lot at PSC. Upon departure, Chief Roddy will address the media in attendance.
