4-16-19 Officer Involved Shooting - 2000 block Cleveland Ave.

• According to preliminary reports and witness statements the suspect fired a gun at Chattanooga Police Officers.
• Officers engaged with the suspect, shots were fired, the male suspect sustained injuries.
• Chattanooga Police Officers called for Hamilton County EMS and administered life-saving measures until their arrival.
• The suspect was transported by Hamilton County EMS and is being treated at a local hospital.
• As investigators processed the scene a firearm believed to be the suspect's was located.
• Per Chattanooga Police Department policy, all officers responding to the call have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
• Hamilton County Sheriff's Office will be handling the criminal investigation and all inquiries should be directed to that agency.
