4-30-19 ARREST/4-29-19 Seeking Community Assistance - Identifying Sexual Assault Suspect


Chattanooga Police ask anyone who may have been victimized by Tremaine Anderson to please to call (423) 698-2525 and ask to speak with a Special Victims Unit Investigator to file a report.

The Chattanooga Police Department is looking for a suspect believed to be involved in two separate assaults on women in the past week in the Oak Grove area.

The first incident occurred on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 when a woman was shot by the suspect. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting. The second incident occurred on Monday, April 29, 2019 when a woman stated to police she was sexually assaulted by a suspect whose description was similar to the suspect from the incident on April 23. Both incidents occurred between 6:00 to 6:30 a.m.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male with dreads and tattoos on his arms, chest, and stomach. He is believed to be in his 20s to early 30s and is approximately 5'10" in height and weighs more than 200 pounds.

The Chattanooga Police Department's Special Victims and Major Crimes Units are working together to investigate these incidents. Investigators in both units are actively working all potential leads and following up on tips already received. CPD is asking anyone that may have information on either of these incidents or may have seen someone matching this description to contact police by calling 423-698-2525. Tips may also be submitted via CPD's mobile app, Chattanooga PD Mobile, on iPhone or Android. More information will be released as it becomes available.
