11-23-19 UPDATE #2 ARREST/8-4-19 UPDATE: ARREST / 6-19-19 Homicide / Shooting - 3200 block South St.

UPDATE (8-4-19): On Sunday, August 4, 2019, the Chattanooga Police Department arrested a suspect on murder charges related to the June 19, 2019 fatal shooting of Robert Gill in the 3200 block of South Street. CPD Homicide Investigators charged Javonte J. Wynn (24) with First Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm during a Dangerous Felony.

Wynn was taken into custody by CPD's Gang Unit and booked into the Hamilton County Jail.

DOB: 12/5/94

Charges: First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm during Dangerous Felony

On June 19, 2019 at approximately 6:11 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 3200 block of South Street on a report of a person shot.

• Upon arrival, Police located a deceased male with multiple gunshot wounds.
• Police secured the scene and called for the CPD Violent Crimes Bureau to respond.
• Investigators are actively working this incident.
