2-24-20 UPDATE: ARREST / 9-13-19 UPDATE: Arrest/9-12-19 - Homicide / Shooting - 3900 block Dahlia Street


 

Thanks to cooperation from community members and thorough investigative work by multiple Chattanooga Police Department units, three suspects are charged in the homicide of Darrell Hill that occurred on September 12, 2019. All three suspects are juveniles and currently in custody at the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

 

Suspect #1: Male, 17 years old

Charges: First Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

Suspect #2: Female, 16 years old

Charges: First Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery

Suspect #3: Female, 17 years old

Charges: First Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery

On September 12, 2019 at approximately 12:14 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a Person Shot call in the 3900 block of Dahlia Street. The following are the preliminary facts of the incident:

 

  • Upon arrival, police located the victim lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound.
  • Hamilton County EMS pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
  • CPD Violent Crimes Bureau responded to conduct further investigation.
  • Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call the Homicide Tip Line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.

Victim:

Darrell Hill (male, 20)

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
