10-11-19 Victim Identity Released/10-7-19 Homicide / Shooting - 1100 block North Hawthorne Street

On October 7, 2019 at approximately 12:33 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shots fired call in the 1100 block of North Hawthorne Street.

• Upon arrival, Police located Victim 1 and Victim 2 suffering from gunshot wounds.
• Victim 3 was also injured and we are working to determine the cause of the injury.
• Hamilton County EMS responded and transported all 3 victims to a local hospital.
• Victim 1 succumbed to his injuries.
• Officers secured the scene and called for the CPD Violent Crimes Unit to respond.
• Investigators were able to determine that the victims were outside when several shots were fired in their direction.
