12-24-19 Homicide / Shooting - 3400 block Vinewood Drive

UPDATE (12-25-19): The Chattanooga Police Department has identified the deceased male located in the 3400 block of Vinewood Drive on December 24, 2019 as 31-year-old Xavier Oliver. Mr. Oliver's family has been notified of his death.

On December 24, 2019 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a report of Shots Fired in the 3400 block of Vinewood Drive. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:

• Upon arrival, police located a deceased male lying in the road with apparent gunshot wounds.
• Hamilton County EMS arrived and pronounced the victim deceased.
• At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s). The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
