1-8-20 ARREST / 12-28-19 Shooting - 2000 block Rawlings Street


The suspect is identified as 23-year-old D-Marquis Bell. He is charged with five counts of Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Bell is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

CPD Narcotics and Real Time Intelligence Center Investigators also assisted in apprehending the suspect.

On December 28, 2019 at approximately 4:43 p.m., Chattanooga Police were called to a local hospital after a person arrived with injuries from a gunshot wound. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:

 

  • Upon arrival, police spoke with the person suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
  • Victim stated to police she was shot while in her vehicle.
  • No other vehicle occupants reported any injuries.
  • Chattanooga Police located a crime scene in the 2000 block of Rawlings St.
  • Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.

(Female, 26)
