8-11-20 UPDATE #2 - ARREST / 7-2-20 UPDATE: ARREST / 6-23-20 Homicide-Shooting - 101 West 38th Street

Tyqurerio Malone, who had an active warrant for Homicide, was taken into custody yesterday by Chattanooga Police Department/Neighborhood Services- Baker Sector Officers after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle that Malone was believed to be riding in.

He is charged with Criminal Homicide and Attempted Criminal Homicide.

UPDATE- On July 1, 2020, a suspect in the June 22, 2020, homicide of Robert Dowdy was taken into custody. Montrell Franklin (Crayton) (22) was arrested in Knoxville, Tennessee with the assistance of the U. S. Marshals, Chattanooga Police Department- Fugitive Division, Knoxville Police Department and Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force.

Later that day Tremaine Dillard was taken into custody in Chattanooga TN as a result of a collaborative effort by several Units within the Chattanooga Police Department. .

On June 22, 2020 at approximately 1:58 p.m., Chattanooga Police were dispatched on a report of a person shot at 101 West 38th St. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:

• Police located a party suffering from a gunshot wound and secured the scene.
• While securing the scene Police were notified that an additional victim had arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound.
• The victim on scene (victim 1) was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with a life threatening injury.
• He later succumbed to his injuries. Victim 2 was suffering from a non life threatening injury.
• Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to conduct an investigation.

Male, 24
