9-26-20 Traffic Fatality - 870 Interstate 75 South
- Vehicle #1 (Nissan Sentra) was entering I-75 South from the on ramp when the vehicle hydroplaned and crossed multiple travel lanes.
- While crossing lanes, Vehicle #1 was struck by Vehicle #2 (Mack tractor trailer).
- Driver and passenger of Vehicle #1 were taken to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with serious injuries.
- On September 26, 2020, Chattanooga Police Traffic Investigators were notified by Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office that the driver of Vehicle #1 succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
- Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.
- The investigation is ongoing and will continue in a logical manner.
