11-9-20 UPDATE #2: Second Suspect Arrested Shooting- 2400 Dodson Avenue

UPDATE: On October 6, 2020, Chattanooga Police Homicide Investigators arrested a juvenile suspect in connection to the August 31, 2020 shooting of two juveniles in the 2400 block of Dodson Avenue.

The 17-year-old suspect is charged with two counts of Attempted Criminal Homicide, four counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. He is in custody at the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

On August 31, 2020 at approximately 7:32 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 2400 block of Dodson Ave on a report of a person shot. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:

Upon arrival, Officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds and secured the scene.Both victims were transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with non life threatening injuries.Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to conduct an investigation.Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.
