12-22-20 UPDATE #2 Homicide / 12-8-20 UPDATE: Suspect Arrested / 11-19-20 Shooting - 1900 Maple Hills Way

UPDATE (12-8-20): Chattanooga Police have arrested a suspect in the November 19, 2020 shooting that occurred at 1900 Maple Hills Way. Markious Sims (24) is charged with Attempted Criminal Homicide, Felon in Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm during a Dangerous Felony. Sims is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

On November 19, 2020 at approximately 5:58 p.m, Chattanooga Police responded to the 1900 block of Maple Hills Way on a report of a party shot. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:

• Upon arrival Officers located a party suffering from a gunshot wound and secured the scene.
• The victim was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with life threatening injuries.
• Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to conduct an investigation.
