5-11-21 Homicide- Shooting- Arrest- 2700 6th Avenue Court

• Upon arrival Officers located a female party unconscious and suffering from an unknown injury.
• Officers notified EMS and secured the scene.
• The victim was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with life threatening injuries.
• The victim later succumbed to her injuries that were determined to be from a gunshot wound.
• Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit responded to conduct an investigation.
• Preliminary information led investigators to a person of interest who was later determined to be a suspect.
• Yesterday afternoon Investigators arrested that suspect, Terrick Thorne (21), and charged him with Criminal Homicide and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He is currently at the Hamilton County Jail. 
• Chattanooga Police ask anyone who has information regarding this incident to call the Homicide tip line 423-643-5100 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.

Suspect:

Terrick Thorne, Male (21)

DOB 9/1/99
