7-9-21 Traffic Fatality - 4700 Shallowford Road

• Vehicle #1 (Hyundai Sonata) was travelling East in the 4700 block of Shallowford Rd.
• Vehicle #2 (Toyota Camry) and Vehicle #3 (Ford Fusion) were both travelling West in the same block of Shallowford Rd.
• Vehicle #1 failed to maintain its lane striking vehicle #2 head on which also caused vehicle #3 to crash.
• Drivers #1 and #2 and the passenger in Vehicle #2 were all transported to the hospital by Hamilton County EMS for their injuries. Driver #3 was uninjured.
• Passenger #2 has remained in the hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
• Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.
• The investigation is ongoing and will continue in a logical manner.
