7-22-21 Pedestrian Struck- Fatality - 17760 I-24 East

• Vehicle #1 (Dodge Ram) was travelling East on I-24.
• Pedestrian #1 had stopped his vehicle on the shoulder and was attempting to cross the Interstate to reach a disabled vehicle.
• Pedestrian #1 crossed into the path of Vehicle #1 making contact with the front passenger side of Vehicle #1.
• Pedestrian #1 was transported to the hospital by Hamilton County EMS with life threatening injuries.
• Pedestrian #1 has remained in the hospital and has ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
• Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.
• The investigation is ongoing and will continue in a logical manner.
