12-8-21 Suspect Arrested / 9-25-21 Homicide - Shooting - 3410 Campbell Street

Update (12-8-21): CPD Fugitive Division, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, have taken Kendel Robinson into custody. Mr. Robinson was wanted in connection with the September 25, 2021 Homicide of Jailen Wofford. He is currently in Silverdale Detention Center and is charged with Criminal Homicide.

On September 25, 2021 at approximately 10:27 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 3410 Campbell Street on a report of a Person Shot. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:

• Upon arrival, officers located a shooting victim and secured the area. 
• Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 
• Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit responded to conduct an investigation and collected potential evidence from the scene. 
• The suspect(s) fled the area prior to police arrival. There are no suspect details to release at this time.
