At 11:39 last (Monday) night, the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a reported commercial structure fire at 7641 Lee Hwy at the Best Western.

On Saturday, March 9, 2013, Chattanooga firefighters, along with staff and volunteers with the American Red Cross, will distribute free smoke alarms and batteries in a residential area located roughly along Tunnel Boulevard.
03-06-2013 Update on Cause of Apartment Fire
Update: The cause of yesterday's apartment fire at The Courts at Waterford on Shallowford Road has been ruled accidental. Lt. Andrew Waters with the Fire Investigation Division said this morning that all the evidence points to a lightning strike as the cause of the fire.

03-05-2013 Several Families Displaced by Apartment Fire
As a severe thunderstorm moved across Chattanooga this afternoon, a fire was reported around 3:00 p.m. at The Courts at Waterford at 6220 Shallowford Road.
02-25-2013 No Injuries in Cooking Fire
Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to a house fire in the Highland Park community shortly after 3:00 p.m. today. Captain John Ives with Engine 5 said one resident, an adult male, was out in the front yard when the first firefighters arrived on the scene.
