The Chattanooga Fire Department is doing its part to provide a safe, enjoyable Halloween experience for area children. On Tuesday, October 31, 2017, on Halloween night, the Chattanooga Fire Department will open all 20 fire stations in Chattanooga from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to give trick-or-treaters an up-close look inside a fire station. While there, children can look at the fire engines, talk with the firefighters, and get some delicious candy from the fire department, while supplies last.

Chattanooga, TN - The Chattanooga Fire Department held its annual Fire Prevention Week awards program today, October 30, 2017, at the Chattanooga Public Library downtown. Fire Marshal Beau Matlock and Assistant Fire Marshal Chuck Hartung announced the winners of the fire safety poster contest. The winning posters were the ones that best illustrated this year’s fire safety theme, which was “Every Second Counts: Plan 2 Ways Out!” The winners received gift cards from Walmart, and the overall winner (i.e. Best of Show) will have her poster prominently displayed on a local billboard for a month.
