On June 26, 2019 at approximately 9:51 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 1200 block of East 35th Street on a report of a delayed shooting involving a juvenile.

UPDATE: On June 24, 2019 Chattanooga Police arrested the suspect wanted in connection with the homicide of Douglas Holmes that occurred in the 2000 block of Portland Street. Jeremy Sutton was arrested and charged with Criminal Homicide. He is being held at the Hamilton County Jail.

Updated Release: On July 3, 2019 the Chattanooga Police Department made an arrest in the June 19th shooting that occurred in the 3300 block of Through Street. Police arrested Henry Bennett (29). He is charged with Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment. He is currently at the Hamilton County Jail.

Available Details: On June 20, 2019 at approximately 2:10 p.m. Chattanooga Police were dispatched to a Person Shot call at 5902 Shallowford Road. A suspect was arrested a few hours later. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

UPDATE #2 (11-23-19): On Friday, November 22, 2019, the Chattanooga Police Department arrested a suspect on murder charges related to the June 19, 2019 fatal shooting of Robert Gill in the 3200 block of South Street. Marquise Burress (25) was arrested on outstanding warrants for First Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm during a Dangerous Felony. He will be transported and booked into the Hamilton County Jail.
