On June 11, 2019 at approximately 4:17 a.m., Chattanooga Police were notified that a male party arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

UPDATE #3 (6-17-19) On June 17, 2019, Chattanooga Police Department Traffic Investigators arrest the driver of Vehicle #2 involved in the fatal crash that occurred at 2100 East Main Street. A thorough reconstruction of the crash that occurred on June 7, 2019 resulted in warrants for the arrest of Jason Ansley (38). Ansley is charged with Vehicular Homicide by Recklessness, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Death, two counts of Aggravated Assault, Failure to Render Aid, Driving on a Revoked License, Speeding, and Driving without Insurance. Ansley is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

On June 8, 2019 at approximately 8:50 a.m., a two vehicle traffic crash occurred at 17960 Interstate 24 West. The CPD Traffic / DUI Unit responded to the scene. The following was determined through interview, observation, and investigation:

UPDATE: After an extensive investigation, Chattanooga Police Department Violent Crimes Investigators arrest two suspects in connection with the shooting of a 9-year-old boy. Genesis Suggs (34) is charged with Filing False Reports, Reckless Endangerment, and Aggravated Assault. Deisman Harrison (31) is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Reckless Endangerment, and Aggravated Assault. Suggs and Harrison are in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. Investigators also determined the shooting to have occurred at a residence in the 2300 block of Farleigh Street.
