After being released from Erlanger Medical Center this afternoon, one of the three Chattanooga firefighters injured in this morning's fire at 2813 4th Avenue is now on the way to the burn unit at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville to receive follow-up care. The other two firefighters were treated and released from Erlanger earlier today. The names of the firefighters are being withheld for now. Further updates will be provided when warranted.

The Chattanooga Fire Department held its annual Fire Prevention Week ceremonies this morning at the Fire Training Center and at the Fireman's Fountain next to the county courthouse. Here's a quick wrap-up:

Just minutes after participating in a memorial service at the Fireman's Fountain to kick off Fire Prevention Week, Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 2813 4th Avenue at 10:44 a.m. The first firefighters to arrive on the scene saw smoke and flames on the backside of the structure.
