Station 21 had a visit from a special guest, nine-year old Liam Boyd. Earlier this month, Quint 21 (Green shift), along with Chief William Andrews, responded to Liam’s home. He was getting ready for a virtual school day when he suddenly started laboring for breath and went into cardiac arrest. Chief Andrews heard the call on the radio on his way to work and joined the crew to help. They were able to revive the little boy and after spending time in the hospital, he returned home and he is doing great after his medical crisis. Liam and his family thanked everyone for what they did to save his life.

“It was great to see Liam and visit with him. It meant a lot to us to catch up with him and see how remarkable his recovery has been. We wish him all the best,” said Senior Firefighter Sean Mayfield.
