2-7-17 Robbery From Person - 3 locations
On Tuesday, February 7, 2017 Chattanooga Police Officers responded to three separate robbery from person calls. In each incident the suspect and/or suspect vehicle description is similar. Each victim described the suspect vehicle as a white 4-door Hyundai Sonata with tinted windows and a loud muffler.
2-7-17 Traffic Crash/Fatality - 490 Greenway View Dr.
UPDATE:
The man who was extricated from a vehicle in a retention pond succumbed to his injuries Wednesday morning, February 8, 2017. He's been identified as 75-year-old Charlie Allen.
2-6-17 Traffic Crash/Fatality - 4900 Bonny Oaks Dr.
A man is found dead in a vehicle after an overnight crash on Bonny Oaks and Jersey Pike.
2-7-17 Traffic Crash/Cyclist Struck - 1100 block Dayton Blvd.
A cyclist is taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after crossing the roadway in front of a moving vehicle.
2-3-17 Skimming Devices Found on Gas Pumps
On Tuesday, February 7, 2017 CPD officers caught suspects red-handed attaching skimming devices to a local gas station pump (Mapco at 153 and Gadd Rd). It is believed these suspects are a part of a multi-state organized crime ring.
Two suspects are in custody along with more devices and two laptops that are pending forensic examination. The Secret Service is now involved as a result of the above.
