On April 2, 2021 at approximately 12:03 a.m., Chattanooga Police were dispatched to a shooting in the 2500 block of 6th Ave. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:

Upon arrival Officers located a female party suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers began rendering medical aid, called for EMS and subsequently secured the scene.
Hamilton County EMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit responded to conduct an investigation.
Investigators were able to identify a suspect and that suspect was later located and detained.
The suspect is now in custody and is being charged with Criminal Homicide, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and two counts of Felony Reckless Endangerment. He is currently in the Hamilton County Jail.

Update (4-9-21): Chattanooga Police have arrested a party in the March 31, 2021 shooting incident at 30 Tunnel Blvd. Nikii Voltaire (38) was taken into custody on Wednesday 4/8/21 and is charged with Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault and Felony Reckless Endangerment.
