UPDATE (6-26-20): The Chattanooga Police Department's Traffic/DUI Unit has arrested the suspect in the hit-and-run that occurred on June 24, 2020 at 6400 Shallowford Road. Troy Maples is charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Death, Failure to Render Aid, Failure to Report an Accident, and Driving on a Suspended License. Additional charges may be filed pending the conclusion of the crash investigation. Maples is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

UPDATE #2 (8-11-20): On August 11, 2020, a suspect in the June 22, 2020, homicide of Robert Dowdy was taken into custody.
