On 1/30/18 at 4:47 p.m. officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded to the 500 block of Arlington Ave on a person who had been shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

UPDATE (1/27/18):

On January 26, 2018 the Chattanooga Police Department was notified by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office that Malcom McKoy had succumbed to his injuries sustained on 1/25/2018.
On January 26, 2018 the Chattanooga Police Department arrested a juvenile for the homicide (shooting) of Malcom McKoy.

Suspect: Name withheld due to juvenile status

Charges:
Criminal Homicide, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
