1-14-18 Arrest/Kidnapping/Rape- 2000 block 12 Ave
UPDATE (1/14/18):
At approximately 2:00 a.m. on January 14, 2018 Demetrius Bailey was taken into custody. Chattanooga Police Officers (who were searching for the suspect throughout the night) observed the suspect's vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The suspect did not stop which resulted in a lengthy vehicle pursuit. At the conclusion of the pursuit, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office placed Mr. Bailey into custody with the assistance of Chattanooga PD and East Ridge PD.

On January 3, 2018 at 12:00 a.m. officers from the Chattanooga Police Department responded to the intersection of MLK Blvd & Pine St. on a report of a person shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:
