08-21-14 No Injuries in Duplex Fire
No one was home and no one was injured when fire broke out late this morning in a Hixson duplex. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 11:13 a.m. and responded to 4670 Cary Lane with four fire companies. Lt. Jamie Ratchford with Squad 19 said smoke was visible when the first firefighters arrived on the scene.
08-14-14 Firefighters Against Hunder Food Drive Next Week
Depending on how long you've gone without a meal, being hungry can be an emergency. Chattanooga firefighters are accustomed to responding to emergencies such as fires, medical emergencies and car wrecks, because it's their job, but every August, they try to help with another emergency: hunger.
08-14-14 Fire Displaces Family of Six
Chattanooga firefighters responded to a house fire around 11:30 last night at 2410 Ivy Street. Captain Joey Smith with Engine 5 said light smoke was showing when the first firefighters arrived on the scene.
08-09-14 Fire Displaces Family of Five
A kitchen fire Friday night caused considerable damage to a home and left a family of five homeless. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 8:00 p.m. and responded to 3223 Navajo Drive with four fire companies.
08-07-14 Fire Displaces Family of Five
No injuries were reported when fire broke out in a home in East Lake yesterday evening. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 7:53 p.m. and responded to 4207 10th Avenue with four fire companies.
