08-05-14 Duplex Fire Sends Man to Hospital
A Chattanooga man was seriously injured in a duplex fire early this morning. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 12:10 a.m. and responded to 2103 Daisy Street with four fire companies. Lt. Wadie Suttles with Engine 4 said the entire front part of the duplex was engulfed in flames.
07-30-14 Gas Leak on Central Avenue Forces Small Evacuation
Several businesses on Central Avenue were evacuated this morning after construction workers broke into a two-inch natural gas line. The incident occurred at the corner of E. 16th Street and Central Avenue.
07-28-14 Haz-Mat Spill Shuts Down Amnicola Highway
A relatively minor haz-mat spill caused some significant problems with morning rush-hour traffic this morning on Amnicola Highway.
07-24-14 Advisory on the Hazards of Using the Wrong Refrigerant in Air Conditioners
The Chattanooga Fire Department is passing along a warning from EPA that involves a potential, yet little known fire hazard. It involves air conditioners in homes and cars.
07-22-14 Fire Sends Chattanooga Man to the Hospital
An apartment fire late Monday night resulted in one being sent to the hospital. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 9:38 p.m. and responded to Rainbow Creek Apartments at 7604 Standifer Gap Road with six fire companies.
