10-22-16 Afternoon Fire on Dodson Avenue Ruled Accidental
UPDATE:
The cause of this afternoon's fire at 3308 Dodson Avenue has been ruled accidental. A fire investigator said combustibles had been placed too close to a baseboard heater. When the clothes and plastic container got hot enough, they burst into flames. Fortunately, no one was injured in this fire, but a mother and her six children will have to stay elsewhere tonight.

Chattanooga, TN -- No injuries were reported in connection with a house fire this afternoon.
10-22-16 Firefighters Respond to Two Fires Overnight
Chattanooga, TN -- Chattanooga firefighters responded to a couple of fires Friday night and early Saturday morning. The first fire occurred around 11:00 p.m. Friday and was located at 7128 Lea Road. The fire reportedly started in the kitchen, but was spreading rapidly. The Chattanooga Fire Department initially responded with four fire companies.
