Chattanooga, TN -- A hazardous materials exercise will be held today, Oct. 20, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Nippon Shokubai America Industries, Inc. (formerly known as N A Industries), located at 2651 Riverport Road in Chattanooga, TN. A map has been attached for your convenience.

This exercise is being conducted in coordination with the Hamilton County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), Hamilton County Emergency Services and the Chattanooga Fire Department. The Chattanooga Police Department, Hamilton County EMS and other agencies will also be participating.

The main purpose of this advisory is to make sure that you are aware of the exercise in case you get calls from concerned citizens. Reporters and photographers with news outlets will not be allowed on the property owned by the company. However, if you want someone on camera to explain what the exercise is all about, arrangements will be made to get you someone for an interview.

Chattanooga, TN -- A fire forced the evacuation of several businesses at Fountain Plaza on Lee Highway this morning. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 8:29 a.m. and responded to 7010 Lee Highway with six fire companies.
