Greenways, Trails, and Preserves

Chattanooga is blessed to have over 35 miles of trails and greenway! Thanks to many partners, Chattanoogans and her guest have an opportunity to be connect to several parts of the city and experiece nature at its finest, in the city.
North Chickamauga Greenway
The North Chickamauga Creek Greenway runs from the confluence of North Chickamauga Creek and the Tennessee River to Hamil Road. The trail wraps through Greenway Farms and mature hardwood forests. The trail can be accessed from any of the parking areas in Greenway Farms park.
South Chickamauga Creek Greenway
The South Chickamauga Creek Greenway is a multi use trail and boardwalk that runs parallel to the creek through the middle of metropolitan Chattanooga. Miles 0 through 12 are currently complete. Click the map for a larger size.

Stringer's Ridge
Stringer's Ridge is a 92-acre urban wilderness park in North Chattanooga overlooking the Tennessee River. The result of a citizen based effort to preserve one of the last large natural areas within the City of Chattanooga limits, the park features easy to moderately technical multi use trails, a Civil War cannon placement and spectacular views of the city.
Tennessee Riverwalk
Beginning at TVA's Chickamauga Dam and stretching ten miles along the Tennessee River to downtown Chattanooga, the TN Riverwalk leads to parks and breath-taking views along the river. The path is used for bicycling, in-line skating, walking, jogging and fitness pursuits. It also includes the Chattanooga Rowing Center and several canoe/kayak launches. Leashed pets are allowed on the TN Riverwalk from the Bluff View Art District to St Elmo.
