UPDATE: 12-19-18 Sergeant tenders resignation | 12-13-18 Internal investigation opened into CPD Sergeant taken into custody for Solicitation of Prostitution
CHATTANOOGA, TN - Sergeant Peter Turk tendered his resignation from the Chattanooga Police Department effective Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
The TBI's criminal case, which is separate from CPD's Internal Affairs investigation, remains active and ongoing.

On 12/10/18 at approximately 12:28 a.m., Chattanooga Police were dispatched to the area of 3800 Dorris Street on a person shot.
12/4/18 - SHOOTING - 4300 block 14th Avenue
n 12/4/2018 at approximately 7:27 a.m., Chattanooga Police were dispatched to a report of a person shot in the 4300 block of 14th Ave.
12-9-18 Shooting/Homicide - 2500 block East 5th St
On 12/09/18 at approximately 12:19 a.m., Chattanooga Police were dispatched to a report of a person shot in the 2500 block of East 5th St.
12-4-18 TRAFFIC CRASH / FATALITY - 5100 block of Hixson Pike
On 12/4/18 at approximately 5:55 a.m., a fatality crash occurred in the 5100 block of Hixson Pike. The Chattanooga Police Department's Traffic Unit responded to the scene. The following was determined through interview, investigation and observation:
