On August 12, 2021 at approximately 4:04 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 1700 block of Market Street on a report of a person shot. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:

The Chattanooga Police Department's Citizens Police Academy (CPA) is accepting applications for its upcoming 9-week session, which will begin on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Each session runs from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
