Holiday Collection and Facility Schedules


Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2020 | Garbage and Recycle Collection & Site Schedule

Chattanooga, Tenn. (January 16, 2020) - The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Public Works’ Wood Recycle Center and the City Landfill located off of Birchwood Pike, will both be closed on Monday, January 20, 2020, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. They will open for regular business hours on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

The Refuse Collection Centers and Recycle Collection Centers will be open for regular business hours.

Garbage and Recycle service will be collected on the holiday. There will be no change to regularly scheduled service.

Citizens may call 311 with any questions at (423) 643-6311.

Closed on New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
