Solid Waste Collections & Site Schedule

Chattanooga, Tenn. ( January 16, 2023)- The Department of Public Works would like to remind all residents that City Offices will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday, January 16, 2023.

The collection of residential Solid Waste and Recycling scheduled for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 16, 2023, will be collected as regularly scheduled. All residents must have their Solid Waste and Recycling containers at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on their designated collection day.

The following locations will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 16, 2023. The facilities listed below will resume regular hours on Tuesday, January 17, 2023:

• City of Chattanooga Administrative Offices.
• Household Hazardous Waste Facility
• Wood Recycle Center
• Refuse Collection Centers
• Recycle Collection Centers
• The City Landfill is located off Birchwood Pike in Harrison, TN.

Closed on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King’s Birthday (Third Monday in January), Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
