More than half of the 150 residents at Jaycee Towers stayed overnight at the shelter operated by the American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee.
03-17-14 Electrical Fire Forces Evacuation of J.C. Towers
Chattanooga firefighters rushed to J.C. Towers on W. Martin Luther King Boulevard around 11:30 this morning on a reported high rise fire. Battalion Chief Lesley Morgan said firefighters located the fire in a mechanical room on the 8th floor.
03-14-14 2nd Arrest Made Related to Domestic Squabble
Chattanooga fire investigators made a second arrest this morning in connection with a domestic squabble that occurred three days ago at 5953 Shaw Avenue.
03-12-14 Man Arrested for Setting Car on Fire
Chattanooga fire investigators responded to a car fire at 5953 Shaw Avenue shortly before 7:00 this morning. The car was a total loss, but it didn't take long for the fire investigators to determine that the fire was deliberately set.
