While most of us were sleeping, there were some tense moments at a local foundry. Around 1:00 this morning, at the Eureka Foundry at 1601 Reggie White Boulevard, a natural gas line ruptured.

For the second time within the span of a few hours, Chattanooga firefighters have responded to a duplex fire. This time it was at 1314 Mayfield Lane around 7:30 a.m.
01-27-14 Woman Wakes Up to Fire in Her Home
Chattanooga firefighters rushed to a reported duplex fire at 5:46 this morning at 6034 Arlena Circle. The fire was in the "B" side of the duplex.
01-25-14 No Injuries in Duplex Fire
At 12:11 pm today the Chattanooga Fire Department was dispatched to a reported Duplex fire at 3610 Conner St. Four fire companies responded and found smoke coming from one side of a single story duplex.
