01-24-14 Cause of 2-Alarm Fire at Carriage Parc Apartments Believed Accidental
The cause of this morning's 2-alarm blaze at Carriage Parc Apartments is believed to be accidental. Lt. Henry McElvain with the Fire Investigation Division said the fire appears to have started on the second floor of Building 14, in Apartment 1422.
01-24-14 Firefighters Brave Frigid Weather to Battle Apartment Building Fire
Chattanooga firefighters endured sub-freezing temperatures at a 2-alarm fire early this morning in East Brainerd. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 3:22 a.m. and responded with six fire companies to Carriage Parc Apartments at 1346 Gunbarrel Road.
01-22-14 Warming Light for Dogs Linked to Shed Fire
Chattanooga firefighters rushed to a reported barn fire in the Highland Park neighborhood around 3:00 this afternoon. When the first firefighters arrived at 1609 S. Beech Street, they found a shed fully engulfed in flames.
01-16-14 Heat Lamp Linked to House Fire in Hixson
Chattanooga firefighters responded to a house fire at 3707 Forest Highland Drive around 5:30 is afternoon. Captain Eric Gordon with Quint 16 said heavy smoke was coming out of the house when the first firefighters arrived on the scene.
01-16-14 Firefighters Head Off Major Blaze at Local Motel
Around 2:00 this morning, Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to a fire at the Country Hearth Inn and Suites at 101 E. 20th Street. Captain Scott McCullough, the incident commander, said the fire was located in a unit on the third floor.
