02-21-14 Chattanooga Starts New Fire Academy
The Chattanooga Fire Department started a new fire academy today. Most of the 27 new recruits are from this area, but others came from as far as California, Wisconsin and Florida to start their new careers at Chattanooga firefighters.
02-21-14 Man Arrested for Setting Sweatshirt on Fire at Erlanger
Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to Erlanger Medical Center shortly after midnight this morning, on a reported fire in the emergency room. Battalion Chief Lesley Morgan said the small fire occurred in Room 28 in the ER section.
02-15-14 Afternoon House Fire
At 12:15 pm today, the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1510 46th Street Place. It took four fire companies about 25 minutes to get the fire under control.
02-13-14 Firefighters Forced to Walk to House Fire
Chattanooga firefighters were forced to improvise last night when they couldn't get to a fire due to impassable roads.
02-13-14 Firefighters Brave the Elements on House Fire
Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to a house fire shortly before 1:00 a.m. at 2607 Lockwood Avenue. The snow-covered roads made it difficult for the fire apparatus to get to the house, but they did get there.
