Chattanooga firefighters responded to a house fire at 2217 Davenport Street around 6:00 Tuesday night. Lt. Wadie Suttles with Engine 4 said light smoke was showing from the left rear door when the first firefighters arrived on the scene.
04-25-14 Firefighters Save Several Downtown Businesses
Quick work by Chattanooga firefighters saved several businesses on in downtown Chattanooga late Thursday night. A pedestrian walking down the street saw smoke and flames coming from the two-story commercial structure and flagged someone down to call 911.
04-24-14 Fire Destroys Vacant Commercial Building
Fire destroyed an old, vacant commercial building fire early this morning at 451 Wauhatchie Pike. A passing motorist saw huge flames coming from the former business, and called 911 Communications at 4:25 a.m.

When fire broke out on Connie White's front porch, she wasn't sure what she should do. She tried putting the fire out with pans of water, but that didn't work, so she called 911 for help.
