Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to a vacant house fire shortly before 2:00 this afternoon at 6218 Vance Road. Flames could be seen for miles and 911 Communications received multiple calls from passing motorists.

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a train fire this afternoon. Battalion Chief Rick Boatwright said one the locomotives "blew an oil line" and experienced what appeared to be a "flash fire."

A car literally rammed its way into a local business this morning. Chattanooga firefighters got the call at 7:18 a.m. and responded to the Ladies of Charity thrift store at 2821 Rossville Boulevard.

Chattanooga fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of a vacant house fire last night.

Chattanooga firefighters were called to a kitchen fire in North Chattanooga around 7:30 last night. Battalion Chief Jeff Eldridge said firefighters from Station 12 could see smoke from several blocks away as they responded to 27 Lawn Street.
