Firefighters Stop Fire At Self Storage Building

As additional fire companies arrived on the scene, the firefighters had to cut the locks off, or use power saws, to gain access to the individual units. Battalion Chief Lesley Morgan said it took the firefighters roughly 20 minutes to get the fire under control. Captain Roshell said a total of eight units were damaged by the fire. Some adjacent units had smoke and water damage. However, most of the units in Building A were saved. None of the other storage buildings were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Chattanooga police and Hamilton County EMS provided assistance on the scene.
