Investigators have determined that two fires that occurred right down the street from one another were intentionally set.
First, CFD was called to a shed fire in the 4000 block of Dodds Avenue around 4:20 AM Sunday.
They found the burning shed and as they started working to extinguish the blaze, Chattanooga police officers alerted the crews that there was also a house fire nearby in the 4200 block of Dodds Avenue, two blocks away.
Firefighters found flames coming out of the back of the vacant house on Dodds. We worked to get everything out at both locations.
Investigators believe the arson cases are connected.
No injuries were reported.
