No Injuries In Vacant House Fire

The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm shortly after 10:00 Thursday night and responded to 800 Green Street with four fire companies.

Lt. Keith Liles with Squad 1 said the house was fully engulfed in flames when the first firefighters arrived on the scene. The firefighters worked quickly and got the blaze under control in roughly 15 minutes. The house was considered a total loss.

Battalion Chief Chris Willmore said the house had been vacant for a long time. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Chattanooga police and Hamilton County EMS also provided assistance on the scene.
