Vacant House Fire On Ocoee Street

Multiple CFD companies were dispatched to a reported residential fire in the 2100 block of Ocoee Street Saturday morning at 2:12 AM.

Calls to 911 indicated that the side of a house was on fire, which was confirmed by police officers arriving on the scene.

Engine 4 established command and found fire engulfing the side of the home at 2107 with structural endangerment of the vacant property next door.

The crew performed a primary search and no one was found. They began extinguishing the fire. Other responding firefighters conducted additional searches and launched an interior attack.

The fire was knocked down quickly, mitigating structural endangerment. On the inside, crews got the fire under control fast.

A fire investigator was called to the scene due to the home being vacant and under construction. There were no injuries.

Engine 4, Engine 5, Ladder 5, Quint 10, Squad 13, Squad 1, Battalion 1, Battalion 3 (Green Shift), Fire Investigator, EPB and CPD responded.
