Jump to:

Captain Anthony Moore said Mr. Carloss was living in the house with his now ex-girlfriend. They had moved out of the house a while back and the house has been vacant for months.

Captain Moore said Mr. Carloss attempted to set fire to the house, using candles and common combustibles, such as newspaper. The candles did start a couple of small fires in the house, but they pretty much burned themselves out. The damage to the house was minimal.

Captain Moore said he is also looking for the ex-girlfriend, because he believes she may have helped set the fires. He believes she is out of town. After being charged with one count of arson, Chattanooga police transported Mr. Carloss to the county jail for booking. Lt. Henry McElvain and Lt. Andrew Waters also assisted with the investigation.
