Pancake Breakfast To Benefit Firefighter's Son

Jump to:

This is a fundraiser for Senior Firefighter Jason Greer, whose son Tristin is battling neuroblastoma. Tristin has been fighting this terrible disease for several years now and the financial hardship on the family has become catastrophic. So Jason's fellow firefighters are holding this fundraiser to try to help ease the family's financial burden.

With the breakfast, there will be an acoustic show hosted by the Chattanooga Firefighers Association – Local 820, and Help the Good Guys, featuring American Idol finalist Bucky Covington. The breakfast is $5 and the show is free of charge and will be held outside Station 1 around 10:30 a.m. They will also be raffling off a customized guitar signed by Bucky Covington for $5 per ticket.

"I can't imagine how hard it would be if one of my own children was going through this, and then have to worry about all the bills on top of that," said Captain Rick Boatwright, who is coordinating this fundraiser. "Hopefully, with this event we can try to take a little pressure off of this family."

If you can't make it to the breakfast, you can still mail a donation to: CFFA L820, C/O Jason Greer, P.O. Box 24683, Chattanooga, TN 37422.

Help the Good Guys (HTGG) is a nonprofit 501c3 organization that provides financial support for injured firefighters and their families. HTGG sponsors music events and concerts, which are organized and promoted through local firefighter organizations.
